This alert applies to the following parks:

Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) will be conducting planned burns in Carnarvon National Park. These will occur in areas adjacent to the Carnarvon Great Walk from 18 July to 30 July, 2022. As a result, all of the Carnarvon Great Walk will be closed for this period.

Please note that this closure applies to the Carnarvon Great Walk only. All of the facilities (camping areas, day-use areas and walking tracks) within the Carnarvon Gorge and Mount Moffatt sections of Carnarvon National Park will remain open throughout this period.

Please monitor park alerts on the department's website for updated information.

Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.
