This alert applies to the following park:

Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service will be conducting planned burns from Wednesday 29 June 2022 to Tuesday 5 July 2022 within the Blackwood National Park, weather permitting. During this period, temporary smoke signage will be displayed during burning activities. This is part of the annual hazard reduction/conservation management program for parks and forests. As a result, smoke may be seen around the local areas and beyond. This planned burn will help reduce the likelihood of wildfires leading into the fire season. Smoke can decrease visibility on the roads, so it is important that motorists drive safely to the conditions.
