This alert applies to the following park:

The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service will be conducting planned burns in Flinders Island National Park from Tuesday 21 June 2022 through to Monday 27 June 2022, weather permitting. This is part of the annual hazard reduction/conservation management program for parks and forests. As a result, smoke may be seen around the local areas and beyond. These planned burns will help reduce the likelihood of wildfires leading into the fire season. Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.
