Temporary restricted access to western trailhead due to roadworks: Bartle Frere trail, Wooroonooran National Park

This alert applies to the following parks:

Visitors are advised that the access road to the Bartle Frere trail's western trailhead will be closed to motorised vehicles from Monday 4 April for roadworks to occur. The access road is anticipated to re-open late on Friday 3 June 2022. The Bartle Frere trail remains open, although access to the western trailhead will require visitors to park at the Windin Falls walking track car park at the end of Gourka Road and walk the additional 2.3km to reach the western trailhead.

Please adhere to all safety signs and directions from rangers and do not enter the work area by vehicle.
