This alert applies to the following park:

During the period 11 April to 30 June 2022, closures and restrictions to Mt Maroon section of Mt Barney National Park will occur as Rangers take advantage of weather conditions to implement a number of planned burns within the park. Please check Park Alerts regularly for closure dates and any access restrictions as they occur.

 

 

During the planned burns, the Mt Maroon section of Mt Barney National Park will be closed to public access. 

Smoke may be seen in the vicinity of the Maroon and Barney View areas.

Persons with respiratory or other health problems should seek medical advice on mitigating the effects of smoke inhalation.

Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.
