This alert applies to the following park:
- Bribie Island National Park and Recreation AreaBrisbane; Sunshine Coast
Due to ongoing flooding and wet conditions the Northern Access Track will remain CLOSED until further notice. Repair works will commence once the water recedes.
Campers booked at Ocean Beach camping area are advised to use the Woorim access track and Ocean Beach.
Motorist should use caution when travelling along the beach and travel at a reduce speed to avoid hazards such as steep sand dunes, deep washouts, hidden banks, fallen trees, exposed coffee rock, exposed WWII structures and large debris.
All four lagoons on Ocean Beach have broken through and flowing across the beach. Deep washouts are likely around the lagoons with conditions changing on a tidal basis. Check depth before crossing lagoons as fast flowing water and soft sand can make vehicle crossing dangerous. Driving over vegetated dunes is not permitted despite conditions. Beach travel is recommended one hour either side of low tide only.
Observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.
