The Northern Access Track north of the Poverty Creek camping area to the Fort Bribie day-use area will be closed from Thursday 25 November to Thursday 9 December 2021 due to heavy rainfall forecast over the coming days.
Access to Poverty Creek and Gallagher Point camping areas remains open. Campsites at Poverty Creek and Gallagher Point may become inundated from heavy rainfalls.
Visitors are advised to use Ocean Beach to access Ocean Beach camping area and Fort Bribie day-use area.
Motorists should exercise caution at all times when travelling along the beach and crossing lagoons as there may be debris and exposed hazards. Deep washouts are likely around all four lagoons with conditions changing on a tidal basis. Beach travel is recommended two hours either side of low tide.
Observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers, and do not enter closed areas.
