This alert applies to the following park:

Pending favourable weather conditions, construction of a major redevelopment of the Castle Rock camping area will commence on 31 January, 2022 and continue until 24 June, 2022.

To ensure construction is completed safely and efficiently, the existing Castle Rock camping area will be closed for the duration of the construction, with Bald Rock Creek camping area being the only camping area available at Girraween.

During construction, the use of heavy vehicles and machinery may cause noise in the park. Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers, and do not enter closed areas.

We apologise if your Girraween experience is interrupted and appreciate your patience while we build better visitor facilities at Girraween National Park.
