This alert applies to the following parks:

As a result of prolonged dry weather, Booloumba and Little Yabba Creeks have ceased to flow. Yabba Creek is very low and slow moving.

Water levels are extremely low, and the creeks are reduced to intermittent ponds.

Camper numbers have been reduced to minimise camper water usage and maximise environmental flow and continued fauna use.

Dry conditions may have made these creeks unsafe for swimming.

Swimming in stagnant or slow-moving water is likely to cause ear infections, stomach disorders or other health complaints.

Your safety is our concern, but your responsibility.

Please be water wise and use water sparingly when visiting parks and forests. Do not attach hoses to park taps and minimise shower time.

Alternate facilities near flowing water may include Cedar Grove in Amamoor State Forest or Coochin Creek in Beerwah State Forest.
