This alert applies to the following park:

Road maintenance and site works are planned for Poverty Creek camping and day-use areas in Bribie Island Recreation Area throughout September.

Drivers are advised that trucks transporting gravel will be traversing the Northern access track to Poverty Creek. Large machinery will also be operating within the Poverty Creek camping and day-use area, leveling car parking bays and access roads with a small drilling rig in use on Tuesday 21 September near the toilet facilities. All works will be carried out, where possible away from campers and visitor facilities.

The Poverty Creek camping areas, day-use area and toilet facitilies will remain open during this time.

For your safety, visitors should observe all signs and directions from rangers and keep clear of operating machinery. Chidlren should be supervised closely at all times.
