This alert applies to the following park:

Plantation timber harvesting will commence on Wednesday 30 June in Imbil State Forest, northwest of Charlie Moreland camping area, near the bottom of Black Hut Road. Harvesting will last for approximately six weeks to Friday 27 August 2021.

As a result, Black Hut Road will be periodically closed to the public between Monday 12 July and Friday 27 August. Other state forest roads in the vicinity of the harvesting operation may also be closed to the public. Speed limits may be reduced along Sunday Creek Road and there will be an increased presence of large logging trucks.

Alternate facilities are available at Booloumba Creek camping area in Conondale National Park, and Peach Trees camping area in Jimna State Forest.

For your safety, please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers, and do not enter closed areas.
