This alert applies to the following park:

Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service & Partnerships (QPWS&P) will conduct a planned burn within the Glass House Mountains lookout area in Beerburrum West State Forest over the coming weeks, when weather conditions are favourable. As a result, smoke may be seen in the Glass House and Beerburrum area. This burn is part of the annual hazard reduction/conservation management program for parks and forests. When the burn is being conducted, all facilities including the lookout, toilets, day-use area and walking tracks in this area will be closed for the duration of the planned burn.

Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.

Facilities will reopen when conditions are considered safe.
