Upper Noosa River, river campsites and Harry’s Hut Road CLOSED due to flooding

This alert applies to the following park:
- Cooloola Recreation Area, Great Sandy National ParkSunshine Coast
Heavy rainfall has caused flooding to the Upper Noosa River and catchment areas restricting vehicle, boat, and camping access.
The following areas are temporarily closed:
- Harrys Hut Road
- Harrys Hut vehicle and river campsites
- Harrys Hut day-use area
- Harrys Hut group camping
- Upper Noosa River campsites 1 - 15
- Upper Noosa River north of Figtree Point
All permits for closed areas are suspended for the duration of the closure. Apply for a camping permit refund online at www.qld.gov.au/camping. Log into your account and cancel your booking up to two days before your booking commences to receive an automatic refund or alternatively apply for a refund.
Rangers will continue to monitor water levels in the Noosa River and reopen when declared safe.
Observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers, and do not enter closed areas.
