This alert applies to the following park:

The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) will conduct a planned burn within the Currimundi Lake (Kathleen McArthur) Conservation Park between March to May 2021, as soon as weather conditions are favourable. As a result, smoke may be seen in the Currimundi, Wurtulla and north Caloundra area. This burn is part of the annual hazard reduction/conservation management program for parks and forests.

All walking tracks in this area will be closed for the duration of the planned burn. 

Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.

The park will reopen when conditions are considered safe.
