This alert applies to the following park:
- Chillagoe-Mungana Caves National ParkTropical North Queensland
Due to recent heavy rain flooding Donna Cave and creating dangerous conditions in Bauhinia Cave; both are temporarily closed for public safety reasons. It is expected Donna Cave will remain closed for ranger-guided tours until floodwaters recede. The Bauhinia self-guided cave will remain closed until conditions allow it to dry out. The Royal Arch Cave remains temporarily closed for maintenance (please refer to the separate park alert for more information).
Trezkinn Cave will remain open and ranger-guided tours will be available at 9am, 11am and 1.30pm daily. For any questions, enquiries or bookings please call The Hub on (07) 4094 7111.
