24hr number plate cameras are now operating in Cooloola Recreation Area

This alert applies to the following park:
- Cooloola Recreation Area, Great Sandy National ParkSunshine Coast
From Friday 18 December 2020, vehicles entering and exiting the Cooloola Recreation Area may have their vehicle number plate recorded by fixed or mobile cameras.
Vehicle registration details will be checked against the Queensland National Parks Booking Service and any vehicle identified not to have a valid Cooloola Recreation Area vehicle access permit may be issued a Penalty Infringement Notice (PIN) of $200.
To avoid receiving a PIN, ensure you purchase a vehicle access permit and check your number plate details are correctly entered on your permit before entering the recreation area.
