The Department of Transport and Main Roads advise that reconstruction works on Mount Spec Road between the Little Crystal Creek bridge and McClellands lookout will commence from Tuesday 15 September 2020. To minimise traffic disruptions and impact on local businesses, residents and national park visitors, works will be conducted at night during the hours specified below.

A full road closure of Mount Spec Road will be in place from Little Crystal Creek to McClellands lookout during project working hours of 6pm to 6am Saturday to Thursday, and 7pm to 7am Friday night.

Visitors are advised that access to Little Crystal Creek and McClellands lookout; including the Witts lookout and Cloudy Creek walks will not be possible during the road closure times.

Works are expected to be completed by late December 2020. Wet weather and construction conditions may change the timing of the works. For further information on the roadworks contact Department of Transport and Main Roads on 1800 625 648.
