This alert applies to the following park:

Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service intends to conduct a planned burn on Fitzroy Island National Park between Monday 10th and Friday 14th August 2020. The duration of the burn is expected take 1 – 2 days. During that period some areas of the Island will be closed to public access; this includes the SUMMIT and LIGHTHOUSE walking tracks. The walking tracks will be re-opened earlier; if the area is deemed safe by QPWS personnel. Normal access will still be facilitated to the Resort, Nudey Beach Track and Secret Garden Track.
