Cooloola Wilderness Trail partially open

This alert applies to the following park:
- Cooloola Recreation Area, Great Sandy National ParkSunshine Coast
The Cooloola Wilderness Trail is now partially open from Harry’s camping and day-use area to Mullens carpark, including Neebs Waterhole and Wandi Waterhole camping areas.
The southern section of the Cooloola Wilderness Trail from Elanda Point to Fig Tree Point is not accessible due to the Kin Kin Creek walk bridge having washed away during flooding. Planning for a new bridge is underway
Fig Tree Point camping area is only accessible from Harry’s Hut to the north.
Mill Point and Kinaba Information Centre can still be accessed from Elanda Point.
Observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers, and do not enter closed areas.
Commercial tour operators and other permit or agreement holders are not permitted to enter closed areas.
