This alert applies to the following park:
Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) are planning to conduct aerial shooting activities on Curtis Island National Park, Curtis Island Conservation Park and Curtis Island State Forest between Monday 24 to Friday 28 May 2021, inclusive.
Target species: feral pigs and feral cattle.
A 500 metre exclusion zone will be enforced for all waters contained within the following areas, which includes; Black Head, Keppel Creek, Yellow Patch and Cape Capricorn. Maritime Safety Queensland will be issuing a notice to mariners before commencement of operations.
To ensure the safety of the public, no access to these areas will be permitted during this time.
