Camping closures

All camping areas in Queensland national parks, state forests and recreation areas are closed from 26 March 2020 until further notice. Check Park Alerts for more information.

Bellbird Grove day-use area temporarily closed due to facility upgrades

Applies until 10 July 2020.

This alert applies to the following parks:

Bellbird Grove day-use facilities will be closed between April and July 2020 to accommodate facility upgrades. Contractors will be working with heavy equipment within the construction area.

As a result, the entire day-use area will be closed including

  • Picnic and BBQ facilities
  • Bathroom amenities
  • All carparks
  • Access to Turrbal and Golden Boulder walking tracks

Alternate facilities are available at

  • Camp Mountain
  • Jollys Lookout
  • Boombana
  • Ironbark Gully - Samford Conservation Park
  • Bunyaville day-use area - Bunyaville Conservation Park

Observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers, and do not enter closed areas.

Commercial tour operators and other permit holders or agreement holders are not permitted to enter closed areas.
