Applies until 29 May 2020.

This alert applies to the following parks:

The Mossman Gorge upper track upgrade project will improve visitor facilities and is scheduled to start on Monday 24 February 2020. This will require a staged temporary closure for upgrade of two sections of track. The section of track from the turnoff near the Mossman River lookout to the end of Rex Creek bridge will be closed from Monday 24 February 2020. This section is expected to reopen by Friday 27 March 2020. Access to Rex Creek bridge and the Rainforest circuit track will not be possible during this time.

The section of track from the far end of Rex Creek bridge to the Manjal Dimbi lookout will be closed from Monday 24 February 2020 and is expected to reopen by Friday 29 May 2020. Access to the Rainforest circuit track will not be possible during this time.

Helicopters will be used within the gorge on a number of days for delivery of materials to the project site.

The Baral Marrjanga walk to the Mossman River lookout and the Lower river track will remain open throughout this project.

For your safety, please adhere to all safety signs and directions from Rangers and contractors and do not enter work areas.

These works when complete will improve the visitor experience at Mossman Gorge. We apologise for any inconvenience these upgrade works may cause.
