Maiala day use area Partial re-opening

Applies until 10 April 2020.

This alert applies to the following parks:

Upgrade works have been completed on the western section of the Maiala day use area and that section of the site is now open. This includes the trailhead for the Western Window walking track and some roadside car parks.

The eastern section of Maiala, including picnic and BBQ facilities, the toilet block, internal car parking and the Maiala trailhead for the Rainforest Circuit and Greene’s falls walking tracks remains closed.

Upgrade works on the eastern section of the site are scheduled for completion in early April 2020.

Temporary public toilets have been installed alongside Mt Glorious Road at Maiala, and alternative day use facilities are available at Bellbird Grove, Camp Mountain and Jolly’s lookout.

Walking tracks around Mt Glorious - The Western Window and Westside walking tracks are open for use. The Rainforest Circuit, Cypress Grove and Greene’s Falls walking tracks also remain open and can be accessed from Browns Road while the eastern section of Maiala remains closed.
