Ocean Beach and Ocean Beach camping area now open

This alert applies to the following parks:

Ocean Beach and Ocean Beach camping area in the Bribie Island Recreation Area have reopened to drivers and campers with weather and beach conditions easing.

Motorists should use extreme caution when crossing flowing lagoons and travelling along the beach as there may be debris and exposed hazards. Deep washouts are likely around all four lagoons with conditions changing on a tidal basis. Beach travel is recommended one hour either side of low tide.

The Northern access track to Ocean Beach is OPEN to vehicles. Drive to conditions and avoid driving on the verge as this may be soft and boggy.

Observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers, and do not enter closed areas.
