Closures within Jimna State Forest

Applies until 28 February 2020.

This alert applies to the following parks:

The Peach Trees camping area will be closed from 28 January 2020 to allow salvage harvesting of plantation timber to continue. It is anticipated the harvesting will be completed within two months, weather dependent.

The area surrounding the campground remains fire affected as a result of the recent wildfire.

Conditions are extremely dry with very little water in Yabba Creek.

The following closures are in place for public safety.

  • The Eugenia and Araucaria walking tracks.
  • Access to Jimna SF outside of the Peach Trees Camping Area and access road.

The Yabba Creek walking track remains open.

All permits for closed areas are suspended for the duration of the closure. Commercial tour operators and other permit or agreement holders are not permitted to enter closed areas.

Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers, and do not enter closed areas.
