Bushfire Closures

Applies until 19 September 2019.

This alert applies to the following parks:

Teewah Beach camping area has now been fully closed to camping.

The Upper Noosa River camp sites are closed (Harry's Hut and Figtree camp areas remain open).

People with current camps set up in areas now closed will need to remove their camp and leave the area immediately. An alternative camping area is Inskip Peninsula Recreation Area.

The walking track from campsite 3 to Cooloola Sandpatch has been closed.

The entire Eastern and Western Firebreak (also known as the Kings Bore Circuit), is temporarily closed due to a bushfire currently burning.

Closures will remain in place until conditions are considered safe.

A total fire prohibition is currently in place due to severe fire weather conditions.

Visitors must comply with closures, fire prohibition, and directions of QPWS rangers—penalties may apply.

Your safety is our concern, but your responsibility.
