Fire Ban for protected areas across the Sunshine Coast

Applies until 21 September 2019.

This alert applies to the following parks:

A fire ban prohibiting the lighting of fires in the open has been declared by the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services from 12pm Sunday 8 September to Midnight Friday 20 September, due to the current VERY HIGH fire danger. This notice will remain in place until the risk of wildfire moderates.

Fires are not permitted anywhere within the National Parks or State Forests across the Sunshine Coast, Noosa and Gympie local government areas.

Visitors must comply with fire prohibition guidelines and directions of QPWS Rangers.
