Park closed due to wildfire

Applies until 17 September 2019.

This alert applies to the following parks:

Due to a wildfire in the area, the above park is temporarily closed until declared safe. Wildfire mitigation activities are in progress and areas will be reopened once conditions are considered safe.

This closure applies to:

  • All walking tracks;
  • All picnic and day-use areas; and
  • All camping areas including remote bush camps.

Observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers, and do not enter closed areas.

All permits for closed areas are suspended for the duration of the closure. Apply for a camping permit refund online at www.qld.gov.au/camping. Log into your account and cancel your booking up to two days before your booking commences to receive an automatic refund or alternatively apply for a refund.

Commercial tour operators and other permit or agreement holders are not permitted to enter closed areas.

Stay informed of closures and weather conditions:

  • Tune in to local ABC radio stations for weather updates.
  • Check road conditions.
  • Check weather reports.
  • Check RFSQ fire bans and restrictions for local shires.
