Heli-lift operations at Tongue Bay, Whitsunday Island - walking tracks, lookouts and moorings closed Friday 21st June

This alert applies to the following parks:

Please be advised that the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service will be conducting heli-lift operations on Friday 21st June 2019 at Tongue Bay from 7:00am to 6:00pm, weather permitting.

This program will require the use of a helicopter for multiple lifts, transferring walking track materials from a barge.

All Tongue Point walking tracks and the Hill Inlet lookouts will be closed during this time.

Access to Marine Parks moorings or anchoring in Tongue Bay will not be available during this time.

For your safety, all visitors are requested to remain well clear of operations, observe all signs, barriers and directions provided by rangers.
