Bummiera (Brown Lake) access track temporarily closed to 2WD vehicles

Applies 8–27 May 2019.

This alert applies to the following parks:

Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation (QYAC) and Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) advise that due to wet weather large pot holes have formed along the unsealed Bummiera (Brown Lake) access track off Alfred Martin Way.

Two-wheel-drive vehicle access is closed to Bummiera (Brown Lake). Drivers in four-wheel-drive vehicles are advised to use caution when traversing the track.

Bummiera day-use facilities and carpark will remain open to visitors.

Emergency works to repair the track are scheduled for early next week.

For your safety, visitors should observe all signs and directions from rangers and contractors during the road works as large machinery will be operating in the area.

Thank you for your patience during these maintenance works.

Check Park Alerts regularly for updates on current park conditions.
