This alert applies to the following parks:

A fire ban has been declared by the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service from 0001hrs Tuesday 29th January 2019 until further notice. This fire ban is in place due to ongoing dry and hot conditions in the local area and will continue until conditions improve.

Open fires are defined as: wood fires that are not fully self-contained, including open campfires and fires in braziers, drums, other open containers, and QPWS supplied fire-rings and barbeques. Ash producing fuels, heat beads, Oz-pigs and similar appliances cannot be used during this fire ban.

Only heating appliances that can immediately have the heat source stopped by a valve can be used.

Visitors must comply with this fire ban and any directions given by QPWS and Minjerribah rangers—penalties may apply for non-compliance.
