Cooloola Wilderness Trail partially closed

This alert applies to the following parks:

As a result of severe weather damage, part of the Cooloola Wilderness Trail is temporarily closed until declared safe.

The following areas remain temporarily closed until declared safe:

  • Elanda Point to Fig Tree Point
  • Kin Kin Creek pedestrian bridge

Observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers, and do not enter closed areas.

The following sections of the Cooloola Wilderness Trail remain open:

  • Elanda Point to Mill Point and Kinaba Information Centre
  • Mullens car park to Neebs Waterhole
  • Neebs Waterhole to Harry’s Hut
  • Harry’s Hut to Fig Tree Point
  • Fig Tree Point to Boronia walk car park

All permits for closed areas are suspended for the duration of the closure. To apply for a refund or camping credit, contact camping support at qpws@des.qld.gov.au.

Commercial tour operators and other permit or agreement holders are not permitted to enter closed areas.
