Wet season closure: Oyala Thumotang National Park (CYPAL)

Oyala Thumotang National Park (CYPAL) is closed for the wet season. Please see below for further details.

The following camping areas are anticipated to reopen 20 June 2019, subject to road and weather conditions:

  • Jerry Lagoon
  • Twin Lagoons 1
  • Twin Lagoons 2
  • 10 Mile Junction
  • Old Archer Crossing
  • Mango Lagoon 1
  • Mango Lagoon 2
  • First Coen River
  • Second Coen River
  • Chong Swamp.

The following camping areas are also anticipated to reopen 20 June, however a 1 month booking horizon has been placed on these sites as access is often severely impacted post-wet season, requiring an extension to the wet season closure:

  • Vardons Lagoon
  • Governors Waterhole
  • Horsetailer Waterhole.
