Protection of important barramundi habitat; cooperative management with Traditional Owners.
Extensive Rhizophora zone associated with estuary; sub-tidal and intertidal flats; vegetated and unvegetated salt flats; sandy foreshores and river mouth.
Important recreational fishing area; commercial and Indigenous fishing; barramundi; blue salmon; bream; estuary cod; grey mackerel; grunter; mangrove jack; queenfish; school mackerel; whiting; tiger prawns.
Adjoining Melaleuca forests.
