Tidal portions of Dallachy and Whitfield creeks including a portion of coastal waters outside mouth of creek, 12 km north/north-west of Cardwell.

Extensive Rhizophora stands associated with the estuary, Melaleuca forests, subtidal and intertidal flats, vegetated and unvegetated salt flats.
Important recreational and Indigenous fishing area, also commercial fishing; barramundi, blue salmon, bream, estuary cod, grey mackerel, grunter, mangrove jack, queenfish, school mackerel, whiting.
Adjoining Melaleuca forests.
