Conservation of commercial, recreational and Indigenous fishing grounds; inshore nursery area for fish and crustaceans; barramundi; bream; estuary cod; flathead; garfish; grey mackerel; mangrove jack; sea mullet; school mackerel; tailor; whiting; anguillid eels; luderick; banana prawns; king prawns; mud crabs.
